The Bobby Lees announce new album

Garage-punk firestarters The Bobby Lees have announced their fourth full-length album New Self, set for release on 12 June 2026 via Epitaph Records. The Woodstock, New York trio continue to build on their reputation for wild, high-energy punk, while pushing their sound into new territory.

Fronted by singer and guitarist Sam Quartin alongside drummer Macky Bowman and bassist Kendall Wind, the band first teased the record last year with the furious single Napoleon. Now they return with the album’s title track New Self, a rough-edged and slightly bittersweet preview that blends raw punk attitude with unexpected influences from late-90s hip hop and nu metal.

Quartin describes the track as something deeply personal. “This song feels like a diary entry that I’m letting strangers read. It’s kinda weird to share, but fuck it,” she explains. The track was produced by Dave Sardy and captures the band at their most direct and restless.

New Self arrives after a difficult period for the group. Towards the end of 2023 the band stepped back from touring, citing financial pressure and burnout from the realities of the modern music industry. While on hiatus, the band received an unexpected boost when actor Jason Momoa reached out and offered to help fund their next record, giving the group space to regroup and focus on writing again.

Produced by Dave Sardy and Alex Pasco in Los Angeles, the album expands the band’s ferocious garage-punk foundation into something broader and louder without losing the raw energy that first put them on the map. After years of relentless touring and DIY releases, signing with Epitaph marks a new chapter for the trio.
