Quicksand announce new album Bring On The Psychics

New York post-hardcore veterans Quicksand are back with a new record. Bring On The Psychics lands July 17 via Equal Vision Records and marks their first album in five years.

The album title draws from Carl Sagan, with frontman Walter Schreifels looking back at earlier influences while keeping things rooted in the present. He points to records like Break Down The Walls and Start Today as touchstones – direct, time-specific hardcore with something to say, but still built for movement.

Two tracks are out now. Get To It pushes against hesitation and excuses, while Regenerate leans into growth through setbacks. Both tracks carry that familiar Quicksand balance of drive and reflection, with a more straightforward, energetic edge.

The band describe the singles as a conscious attempt to keep things immediate and positive. Get To It tackles procrastination head-on, while Regenerate centres on finding new paths after things fall apart. It is a theme that sits comfortably within their catalogue, without sounding stuck in the past.
