Toronto outfit The Get Alongs are back with ‘Come On’, the first taste of their second LP Second To None, due June 19, 2026 via Having Fun Records and We Are Busy Bodies.
The track leans into jangly, road-tested guitar rock, sitting somewhere between the loose haze of The Brian Jonestown Massacre and early Oasis, but with its feet firmly planted in Toronto. It is bright, direct and carries that late-night, post-gig feel without overthinking it.
In true left-field fashion, ‘Come On’ also lands as a limited lollipop release. Using bone conduction, the track plays through your teeth and jaw, sending vibrations straight to the inner ear. It is a strange gimmick, but one that fits the band’s slightly scrappy, curious edge.
Formed in 2017, the four-piece have spent years shaping a sound that pulls from 60s garage, 70s power pop and 90s psych without settling. Second To None keeps that core intact, but tightens it up. Recorded at Holy Mountain Sound in Montreal with producer Clayton Dupuis, the sessions pushed the band into a more focused approach, sharpening hooks without sanding off the grit.
‘Come On’ sets the tone well. It is catchy, a little rough around the edges, and confident without trying too hard. A solid return, and a clear sign the band are dialling things in rather than watering them down.
