The album kicks off with Outta Control and sets the tone immediately: pounding drums, driving riffs and raw, shouted vocals. Think Again and Out Of Fight follow with the same urgency, keeping the momentum high. Their first single Exist Consume comes with a video and captures exactly what the band are about – relentless pace, harsh vocals and no polish.
Other standouts include Seeds Of Temptation and Life’s Not Fair, both furious and sharp, while Unimpressed takes the prize as the fastest and most aggressive cut on the record. The whole thing is loud, catchy and filled with anger.
The band put it best themselves: “We play different shit! Southern California Hardcore Punk like you need to hear it played. DM for booking.” And that’s exactly what you get. The production is strong, the vocals convincing, and while the songs do at times blur into one another, the energy never dips.
Failed Republik don’t reinvent anything, but they deliver hardcore punk the way it should be – direct, heavy and without compromise.
